There are not many fighters in the HW division more tailor-made for Wilder than Dillian Whyte. White has tons of heart, but he's as basic as they come. Above average puncher, average hand speed, below average foot speed, no real head movement or defense. He'd be nothing more than another highlight reel KO for Wilder, but let's have it anyway. He more than deserves his shot at the Fury-Wilder winner, but he'll get stopped by both guys.

I feel you’re being harsh on Whyte here. Above average puncher? Whyte for all his faults has one of the best body punching and left hooks in the division, which was strong enough to put the iron-chinned Joseph Parker down hard and wasted the durable Derek Chisora in one punch. If he lands in range on Wilder, he’s going down without question. Granted he’s not the quickest, but look how much trouble a much slowed down Ortiz gave Wilder. I watched his dreadful fight against Malik Scott, and he couldn’t cut the ring off to save his life.

Besides, if Whyte is tailor made for Wilder as you say, then why did Wilder not do everyone a favour and knock him out? Career high payday at the time, crossover UK exposure, and damaging AJ by removing one of his options and backing him into a corner, all for an easy night’s work?

Fury will probably do a Bowe and bin the strap and fight AJ.

Whyte has ducked every mandatory eliminator and every title shot he's ever been offered. Facts.

            That's ridiculous.
Whyte just sc****d past 40 year old dinosaur wach on points. Wilder decapitates the hype job in a few rounds easy. Hopefully will happen after fury fight.

If Whyte is such a bum, it should be no problem for Fury or Wilder to get past him. All the confidence in the Fury/Wilder fan groups sounds a lot more like nervousness.

In the real world; any top 5 HW match-up will be a roll of the dice. Anything else is just opinion.
Whyte isn't really top5 . He's cherry picked his way by dodging every eliminator and title fight he's been offered. Only time he stepped up he got flattened by AJ then won the lottery against Parker with a head butt. And went back to fighting c grade guys.

Povetkin should have enough to finish this hype job.

Praying that Whyte has balls to get in ring with fury / Wilder. But I doubt it based on his track record. 3 world titles wasnt enough to get him in ring with AJ... proven drug cheat and coward.

he was yelling screaming about AJ fight too, until it unexpectedly became a reality, and a contract landed in his lap. Then he went quiet as a mouse and turned it down.

It's a shame. Whyte deserves his shot but Fury vs Joshua is what we want to see.
