  • Comments Thread For: Mikey Garcia: Jose Ramirez's Power, Strength Will Overcome Josh Taylor

While there are several good fights that can be made in the sport of boxing only a handful of them that hardcore fans would deem as top level match ups. One of them is a potential super lightweight unified showdown that would produce an undisputed champion. That would of course pit WBC/WBO champion Jose Ramirez against IBF/WBA champion Josh Taylor.

Was Broner a “solid” Welterweight? guess who beat him too? Did Porter fight Broner? Mikey went 12 with Errol Spence. Lol. Of course he deserves a fight with Pacquiao. He and PAC both dropped Vargas innit. But of course his opinion on Ramirez can’t be real... nah! Lol

I don't understand all the hate Mikey gets? People seem to forget Mikey was a Champion @ 140? They wouldn't have a problem with Prograis, Ramirez, or Taylor fighting Crawford, but they hate the idea of Mikey fighting Pacquiao? Instead of celebrating Mikey's keen business mind, they seem to hate him for it! Too much hate for a fighter with one loss!

Ramirez would have to use constant pressure and a strong body attack to win.

Perhaps. I think it’s about hating on Mikey. It’s casuals that think Mikey doesn’t have the experience or pedigree to make a valid point. I mean do we need to watch footage if Ramirez is a legit dude at 140? No of course not. They just don’t want Mexicans proving the game. Taylor vs Ramirez is going to be a great fight.

My best guess is that they placed bets on Mikey to beat Spence having said he "sees" something in Spence to exploit and that he's chasing for greatness but the complete opposite happened. Mikey got a moral victory, received the biggest pay day in his career and the rest is history. Pacquaio should fight Spence, Crawford or Porter. Mikey too slow at 147

Broner is another WW imposter and doesn't count. Mikey was a punchbag vs Spence so doesn't count.
Mikey vs Broner at 135 or 140 would be worth watching. Somewhere nearer their TRUE weight.

I agree that Ramirez beats hype job Taylor, but Mikey is a clown who somehow thinks he deserves the Pacquiao fight coming off the beatdown vs. Spence and snoozer with Vargas. What a tool.

Mikey wasn’t a punchbag. Those Fights exists in which we call inside fighting where another one brawls to the body with a stoppage. Spence didn’t do that. Mikey didn’t have the reach and fought a good fight. Spence won unanimously, but by the point system. You do realize Spence hits hard? Mikey took them. And you’re saying Mikey isn’t a Welterweight. You think Spence stops Broner? Oh no wait, u said Broner isn’t a Welterweight.
