Canelo has earned his number one spot by facing the best.
It was like a 21yr old 17 fight Mayweather fighting 32 yr old Genaro Hernandez only the young star didnt lose he dominated.

Is Genaro a Top 10 fighter ever? Top 20? Top 100?? Then your analogy doesnt work.

Canelo is definitely PFP Top 5. I have him at 3 or 4, but his 2019 was strong with a clear DJ decision and a KO of a 1st ballot HOF LHW

Sure he stepped up. But he was 23 years old. Not 22.

He also turned pro at 15.

Just making sure the facts are correct.

With a couple of more competent judges in his fight with Lara and both GGG fights, he wouldn't be sniffing #1 p4p. But unfortunately, generous decisions from judges don't get taken into account when assessing p4p lists..... And neither does ped use apparently. The same boxing writers who have ranked him #1 p4p, didnt have him winning either fight with GGG when you look at the press row scorecards. So go figure.

Thats why I said it was like , never said it was the same, no fight can be the same.

He had the experience for Mosley but not Floyd 🤔

                Canelo on Floyd
The only loss I had was with Floyd Mayweather and I still didn't have the experience to fight in those scenarios and it was a really boring fight.
He definitely doesn’t feel the same way about Andrade, the unbeaten WBO middleweight champion who has called out Alvarez repeatedly.

                Canelo on Andrade:
“He hasn’t fought with anyone,” Alvarez said, according to a translator. “He hasn’t fought against anybody. And he’s also boring, very boring. Maybe he’s a good fighter, but he’s a boring fighter. And at the end of the day, when there’s a boring fight, people are going to blame me.
                I notice a pattern 🤔

Cool. Let us know when you legitimately get there. Beating a washed up Kovalev in a rigged fight after getting whooped up by GGG twice just didn't do it regardless of what your promoters rank you.

Loma is P4P#1 and Crawford is a relatively close #2

                  End of discussion.

He didn't earn it by losing to GGG twice

He hadn't had the experience of chasing a runner like Floyd around the ring. Shane always came for a fight, not a jog.
