Ryan Garcia vs Vergil Ortiz amateur bout

    https://*************/watch?v=CRB-LzCcz0g

It’s intresting to see how both these guys early careers are playing out. The fight was close I feel Vergil threw more and Ryan was more accurate.

I find it funny though how these Ryan Garcia haters act like he’s just some internet hype job when he’s beaten guys like Vergil and Haney etc in the ams, we know it’s the amateurs but it tell you the level of comp he’s faced while coming up and also being on his way to the Olympics until they changed the Age limit due to no headgear. I wonder how many of his haters would have looked at him differently if he just would have waited for the Olympics instead of going pro.

Now I think we can all agree Vergil is well ahead of all these young guys currently in the pros but I think Ryan’s haters are so blinded by the hate that they don’t realize how good and talented he is.

I think this hate primaraly has to do with him looking like a teenager. He also has those soft feminine features which cloud judgment of little girls and boxing fans. He just doesn't look tough. A lot of people like to pretend like those things don't effect them but they do.

        You’re right

        Shouldn’t matter but it does.

Ryan Garcia obviously has talent and potential. He just needs to polish up on certain skills which comes with experience and start gaining more power in his punches, which he has.

In about a year if he continues to stay focused he will be a handful for anyone in the early rounds.

I believe you have people criticizing Garcia primarily for things like this:

And, of course, the Romero Duno fight, where his left hook was so fast that it created the illusion that it went over Duno's head. Well, so says Sergio Mora

Ryan is extremely talented I don't think anybody is denying that. I follow Amateurs so I know how talented he is. 200+ wins and I think only 10-15 losses as a Amateur with wins over some very good Amateurs like Logan Yoon, Vergil Ortiz, Devin Haney and another Amateur standout that will be Pro Soon in Delonte Johnson

So yes absolutely Ryan Garcia is talented...however Vergil Ortiz style is better for the Pros and I think he would stop Ryan Garcia if/when they fight in the Pros compared to the 3 Round Amateur stuff in which as the Cubans have shown that if you can hit and not get hit you can dominate Amateur Level easily. That is how Rigondeaux, Loma and Robeisy Ramirez dominated Amateurs and became Multi Olympic Gold Medal Winners as well.

Yeah Ryan edged him I thought as well, reminded me of Jose Benavidez and Frankie Gomez going at it in the Amateurs a bit. Ortiz destroys him if they was to match up right now as Pros it would be a Slaughter!

Ryan Garcia has more teenage white girl fans than actual boxing fans that is for sure.
