Or maybe it ends in him taking 1.2 million as a guarantee regardless of outcome, and on fight night he pulls a Curtis Harper in protest.

Sure, you argue that GGG is overpaid but then you all go full ****** when the same is applied to Canelo because you guys all are so sensitive when it comes to him.

Don't cha know? Canelo is the "face of boxing" but that means absolutely squat because no one outside the small boxing world knows him. Canelo fight vs UFC? Canelo loses big time. And look at his opponent selection.

      Rocky Fielding
      Jacobs
      Kovalev

Were those fights worth the 100M+ that DAZN paid Canelo?

DAZN signed GGG to make a 3rd fighg happen that would have actually been worth the contracts both guys signed but guess what?

      GGG:fight me in at MSG!
      Canelo:No Bueno!

So youre really gonna sit there and tell me that GGG is the biggest robbery of the century when DAZN signed Canelo and GGG so they could make a 3rd fight and he said no. And then fight the kind of fights he's fought. Right?

Cuz even when Steve rolls took on GGG he made how much?

      GGG vs Rolls
      GGG 15 millon
      Rolls 300k

Now tell me wanna tell me how much Canelo got to face Rocky fielding?

Or are you just gonna ignore that fact?
Buddy, Canelo IS DAZN. He is the lone fighter driving up the subscriptions. At one point, he was responsible for 85% of the subscriptions.

And you list his opponents as if there is anything wrong with Jacobs/Kovalev? You want to compare them to GGG's? Who is GGG fighting next? Who is Canelo fighting next?

You said it yourself. GGG was signed strictly for the 3rd Canelo fight. That's his value to DAZN. Canelo would have been signed to the same deal with or without GGG. But GGG's deal is only somewhat salvageable if he gets the trilogy with Canelo.

So yeah, when one guy is responsible for damn near all the subscribers, he is going to be worth it opposed to someone who will be done with half his deal fighting Rolls, Derevyanchenko and Szeremeta. If Canelo was not on DAZN, they may not even be operating at the moment in the states. DAZN has made plenty of mistakes over paying fighters that can't draw, but Canelo? He is THE draw.

I remember his very first DAZN commercial and I barely even recognized him.

Canelos appeal is so over exaggerated by his fans and the boxing community its pretty funny. The face of boxing that no one knows.

Outside the small boxing community there's no one that knows Canelo or even knows of him.

But he's totally worth 35 million a fight right?

And how is DAZN doing? Are they getting the return value for signing him to such a big contract? Yes or no? Lmfao. Please answer this

And you list his opponents as if there is anything wrong with Jacobs/Kovalev? You want to compare them to GGG's? Who is GGG fighting next? Who is Canelo fighting next?

Those opponents were not worth the combined salary between them and Canelo. How much did those fights cost DAZN and did Canelo make up the difference? I think not. Want to tell me how much money DAZN lost on those two fights?

They paid over 100M just for those 2 fights.

GGG and DAZN both wanted that fight which is why they agreed to a deal. The only person who did not want it was Canelo.

And lmfao. Youre totally wrong. Canelo would have never signed if he know DAZN wanted him to fight GGG. Dont you remember how he publicly disputed with Golden boy because they told DAZN Canelo would fight GGG again and he didn't want to?

            Lmfaoooooooo!

            Nice try!

He brings in all the subscribers. You have any evidence of that? And you have any evidence that those subscribers are generating enough cash to pay Canelo 35 million a fight plus his opponents purse?
Answered in bold. Come on. Too easy.

I wanna see you answer some of those questions.

After you read what I wrote in bold in the other part I've taken liberty to just put what I want you to answer here. Just for you.

Did Canelo generate enough suscribers to justify his 35 million dollar a fight salary?

Were the Kovalev/Jacobs fights worth the 100 million that was spent on them?

              Is Canelo making DAZN money?

Did Canelo not publicly dispute with Golden Boy over them promising DAZN a third fight with GGG ?

              Easy questions to answer.

Getting return from your value? Once again, Canelo IS the value to DAZN. He is their brand at this point. Without him, they would be completely unknown stateside and have barely a 100k subscribers. What don't you get? After he fought Jacobs, there were articles showing how 85% of the subscribers that DAZN had at that point came from the weekend of his fight.

They were not worth the combined salary of his contract? Huh? Please due tell which opponents are worth his contract? Should he just fight GGG 10 times?

Now you are just talking out of your a$$. Read what I said again. I said DAZN would have signed Canelo to the same deal they did, WITH or WITHOUT the GGG fight. You can't say the same about the opposite. GGG wouldn't have received 100M if DAZN thought he would never fight Canelo.

Um yes, I'm basing it off articles that came after the Jacobs fights and the viewership numbers of his fights and then the total subscribers DAZN has right now according to Hauser.

Generating enough cash to cover his contract? Do you even know why DAZN invested in boxing in the first place? They wanted to get their brand out in the US before bidding for the other top sports league. Canelo gave them credibility. Considering he is the reason for the majority of the subscribers? His salary is more than covered.

                      lol sure.

So was Charlo "scared" when he turned down $7 million from Hearn? Was Tank "scared" when he turned down $5 million? Or is Lopez just from the wrong ethnic group to try and negotiate for more money?

Its a title unification against a top 3 P4P fighter. Its worth more than $1.2
