Question about "signing" with Al Haymon

When boxers say they've signed with Al Haymon, what do they mean exactly? Are they saying they've brought him on under the ambiguous "advisor" role?

Which makes me ask another questions, if Haymon is only advisor, who is the Promoter and Manager? I realized, I don't know who "promotes" fighters such as Thurman, Leo Santa Cruz, Broner, etc. Can someone please clarify? Is he all 3? Meaning advisor, promoter and manager?

Is it true that Al Haymon is known for paying his fighters very well? So many fighters want to sign with him. He must pay them good?

    Thanks.

Haymon runs his boxing empire much like the Mob ran Las Vegas. He keeps his official title one that avoids conflicts of interest and he keeps his face hidden from public. He is a true Godfather.

He overpays his fighters because he uses slush funds from "investors" that are really just laundering money. Same with the way he runs the PBC broadcasts. He doesn't have to care about profits for now. He's just cornering the market. The original source of these funds? Who knows.

When you "sign" with Haymon what you're signing is more of a general management contract which stipulates that your entire management team will be supplied to you, and anyone you bring with you becomes YOUR employee and has no ties to Haymon.

I can tell you from experience that the Haymon "contract" comes with an avalanche of air tight Non-disclosures and non-competes. It's pretty much a you'll never work in this town again type of thing...except NOTHING ties directly to Haymon.

The reason fighters want to go with him is because they either have no other option or they're seduced by the quick cash and easy fights.

Arum won't live more than a few more years, then it will be PBC and Golden Boy. They are the future Don King (Haymon) and Bob Arum (GBP) The difference being Don King worked like a street thug, Haymon works like a mafia Don. Eddie Hearn will continue to serve as a wet nurse for both sides.

Thanks. If you were a young fighter who was turning pro who would you sign with? Just a scenario.

          1.Golden Boy
          2. Haymon

Beyond them, no more than 3 fights with anyone else. But I'd be happy to look at any offers you have and tell you what I think.

You keep mentioning Golden Boy but then you mentioned Arum in your OP. Do you mean TR?

Haymon makes his top fighters dress in drag and takes naked pics of them for extortion ,he is a known ****** Chaser and was busted with several She male escorts at one time ,it’s why no one crosses him and keeps a tight lip .

I’m not sure you want to potentially walk into this stuff ,he even had Wilder saying he wants to be impregnated ? No wonder his entire empire is collapsing ,I’m surprised the PBC is still around honestly under him from fighters assaulting females on video to drunk driving crashes ,I wouldn’t go near this stable it’s just bad all around .

Hearn and Arum are the best outfits, I’d go with Hearn ,he’s younger and really puts his fighters out there . He knows the blueprint to really get a fighter a huge profile ,unless you want easier fights ,I believe he’s the guy .

Al Haymon was an extra in Rosemary's Toddler. DVD deleted scenes he's doing the exact same Wilder twerk. Now we know why Deontay hired these two:

Yes Arum is Top Rank and when he dies it will shrivel up and float away like a fart In a tornado..

Golden Boy is Oscar DLHs company. I'm saying once Too Rank disappears Golden Boy will play the role against Haymon that Top Rank played against Don King (DKP) when they were the two top dogs.

That's old school stuff though. If you think you can truly be the best, go with Goldenboy. If want to buy your mom a house next year but never get to face the dangerous champions, go with Haymon.

you dont need a promoter if you’re already developed.

haymon takes a low fee as adviser or manager. when you add that, plus no promoter taking 30%, the fighters make significantly more
