Arum is trying to put some public pressure on Teo to accept the deal. It's just a old trick a lot of promoters use, especially Arum. Don't you remember the "countdown clock" he had for Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations? Lol.

I just want to know what ESPN is willing to put up for this fight and how much Arum will have to put up of his own money. Hard for me to see a "big loss" on this fight even with no gate.
Yeah, it might be another Mikey situation.

It just seems to me that if Arum really wanted to pressure Teo, the offer would have been 2 million or more. There's no way Lopez could publicly call that much a lowball even though it might actually be if there were ppv and live gates involved.

Teo would HAVE to take 2 million or lose face.

To me, the 1.2 is a huge red flag indicative of Arum not wanting the fight at all this year.

Again, I just want to know what ESPN is willing to put up here and what he has to put up from his own money for this card. But maybe he does want to push this fight back to 2021 where they can have a live gate and possibly put it on PPV.

1.2M is a lot of money compared to what Teo has been making thus far in his young career. But in terms of a undisputed match up where he will bring his fair share of hype to the match up? It is definitely low and that is according to damn near every fighter commenting on this as well as Eddie Hearn. Still not sure why they just won't put this fight on PPV and let Lopez risk the upside of his deal with PPV sales.
