Bivol is 29, Canelo is 30, and Bivol was an Amateur Sensation with lots of fights, meaning he has seen just about everything. That said Bivol has won by decision 4 fights in a row and Canelo as cash com will almost surely get the decision, so I pick Canelo by decision, whether or not he earned the decision remains to be seen. It would be a Great Fight though.

Funnily enough there's also another champion actively looking to fight by the end of the year....

      Dare they get it on?

Bivol against Castillo didn’t look great, looks like he dipped dramatically... hard to know why, but styles make fights.

Beterbiev is Canelo’s toughest fight imo. World of Tanks fight.

Bivol NEEDS to fight explosively, offensively, that’s just his style. Fans get carried away that by SEEING guys whom want to take off and fresh that it’s the formula to offset the best. That’s not how it works, and many of us know the context that many pros had done some things in the ams/championships, so the experience is there for sure.

But, I think Bivol gets stopped by Beterbiev and possibly by Canelo too. Bivol shoots too wide, especially when he follows up left or right, he likes to aim high on the top. That’s a big no no against Canelo who targets mid range to the body. I mean we see it all the time, but Eastern Euro fighters below Cruiser, with the exception of Turkic republic genetics like Beterbiev, but many of them are thin framed on the body. We don’t know Bivol’s tolerance for a body shot from Canelo on a counter. If Bivol respects Canelo’s power expect a completely different fight. I mean Gennadiy is tough as nails, but genetically he’s Turkic bloodline too. He don’t like that body work.

I think it comes down to the fighting style. Like Cuban or Russian, Their fundamentals are so square that they’re not fluid enough with experience in dog fights to the body. They’re just not trained that way and are brainwashed to be too technical. Mexican Bidness is just a different art. Brits and Americans got more grit than Eastern Euros imo below HW. This is all relative to the amount of elites or stars, so yeah , I’m just generalizing for what we see, not that it’s 100% true.

Ok I see what you did there, nice! Makes a lot of sense, canelo should have Bivol fight beterbiev and winner gets the shot at the king, also have Benavidez right plant and winner gets canelo too, also have charlo vs Andrade and winner gets canelo.:: that way canelo has more to study about the winners

I don’t know about any of that. I like the theory, but 2020 was a disgusting year. The amount of money loss made matchups even worse bro. Like really bad. So much that as much as I don’t like Eddie at times, I can only empathize him and all the other promoters with matchups. It’s just the sad reality.

Oh and I forgot. Bivol vs Plant is rather interesting. I think Bivol stops Plant or coasts to a MD.

Canelo will never fight Bivol. Bivol is too young too good, barely lost any rounds in his fights, his footwork and workrate all wrong for pednelo that being said pednelo will never fight Bivol

Lol. You don’t box yourself. We see things fighters do, mistakes. Bivol even lunges in when fighters have high guards. That’s easy bait for Canelo. Just shoot to the body when Bivol attempts that. It’s ok if u don’t understand the sweet science.

Yeah I’m not to high on plant till he proves me wrong; I think once he fights another current champ in or around 68; he loses
