Roy Jones Jr. weighed in at 193 lbs when he won the HW title in 2003.

Currently these guys are big lads so the likelihood of it happening while Fury and AJ are about is pretty slim imo..I predict Dubois to come knocking within about 5 years and he topped the scales in his commonwealth clash in 2019 at around 230/240..

There's not many good/great HW about ATM but It would have to take some boxer under 200 to take Tyson and/or AJ out.. I'd love to see the one that does it if it does happen in the near future...

roy dd not even beat the real heavyweight champion of the world at the time so you have to go further back in time.

No because they changed the Cruiserweight limit to 200 lbs

Sure. Wilder was 217 winning before.
          Tyson wasn't that big.
          Usyk right now.

            This.

But small HW do have a chance against "super HWs, it just takes a small guy with power, who can slip shots and goes to the body religiously, with a chin, to be able to **** and possibly beat fighters the size of Fury/AJ/Wilder.

Those guys aren’t sub 200 they are well over 210 on average , Mike was near 220 more then 200 , Wilder was around 210 in one title defense and he lucked out in the first Ortiz fight but he’s also 6”7 . What you guys are assuming is a very light guy with monster power of either of great height or skill ? I don’t believe anyone near 200 will be a heavyweight champion and I’m going back myself watching guys that size myself live back in the day . Today’s giants are to big to defeat a legit proven elite champion and win a title at 200 pounds is remote .

That change was in place already when RJJ won the HW strap.

It is certainly possible. Jones was a natural light heavyweight and he was never the best heavyweight because he never fought or beat the best heavyweight. What about a guy who is naturally a lean mean 199 pounds with great speed and boxing skills, a great chin and the punching power of Joe Louis who was just under 200 in his prime. A boxer like that could win the heavyweight title from the best heavyweight not a 2nd best heavyweight like Ruiz was when Jones beat him. Joe Louis KOed several good 250 to 265 pound giants.

There's no minimum to fight in any given division.
