I have seen that with Bradley v Khan, Wilder v Joshua, Ortiz v Joshua, GGG v Canelo (I know they fought in the end), BJS v Canelo, Smith v Canelo etc...
So whilst boxers shouldn’t care what the fans think, we the fans have the rights to criticise and call out their clout chasing.

According to the outlet, the Ukrainian boxer will receive 4,5 million dollars.

And by the way, nice way of avoiding another Molly whoppery by blocking me from the thread. I wouldn't have said anything but you made another post and then quickly blocked me. A move only a craven would make.Last edited by Cypocryphy; 08-03-2020, 04:08 AM.

Yes. My sentiments exactly. I mean, it's obvious. And anyone who asks why is it that Vasyl was paid more for fighting Linares, Pedraza, etc. ... Well, that should be obvious—he was a two division champion, and then a three division champion.
Lopez is a division champion. And that's the reason why.

Originally posted by Ray* View PostThey can pretend all they want. Lopez is being paid his highest purse ever, and this is during the pandemic. He spoke about how Lomachenko doesn’t want the fight on so many occasions. He even accused Lomachenko of hiding in New York last week. Now the actual fact is Lomachenko has made concessions in taking a reduction to what he would have made had the fight happened in April, and here we have Lopez not willing to. Those are the facts, I couldn’t care less what some of these cheerleaders say. Let’s stick to the facts here.
Also, I posted this in a different thread, but there is an elephant in the room that no one is talking about really, and it is this:
What is the value of having the privilege to fight for all the belts in the lightweight division and having the chance to unify at age 23? How much is that worth? How often does that opportunity come along? I bet a boxer who believes in himself would take that opportunity for zero dollars just to have a chance to make history. It might not happen again for another decade or longer. And he's passing this up because 1.2 million is not enough .... Guarantee that there's a 100 other boxers out there that would take this fight for just $100,000.
