correct me if I'm wrong but smith has never been down either. joe smith had his jaw broken and still fought through it. this shows me he is insanely tough and his chin is pretty solid. alvarez has never truly been caught square by a puncher. yes he fought kovalev twice but that was a softened up older version of kovalev who fought more cautiously and boxed safely for a decision win in the rematch.

Fun fight. Alvarez has been throwing his punches with more bad intentions as of late and Joe Smith...the guy always comes to fight.

I find it hard to root against Smith though from a fan perspective. Truly a common man in the sport of boxing.
