Eddie Hearn says he is so impressed by the set-up for Fight Camp that he could see it becoming an annual event, even after the coronavirus has passed into history. Hearn's four-week carnival of boxing in what used to be his back garden on Saturday. A boxing arena has risen on the lawn where Eddie Hearn used to play with his toys as a child. Once the family home, then the headquarters of Matchroom Sport, for four weeks the big house on top of the hill in Brentwood, Essex, has become Fight Camp, Hearn's attempt to preserve big-time boxing in a world without fans.

It makes perfect sense should it run ok..

There's something old style, shady, underground stuff about the sight of fighters making the way outside in the dark smokey lights heading towards the ring and the only thing you can see clearly are Eddie's teeth as he smiles as the gladiators pass him....

No doubt he'll try turn it into a showbiz bash. Glass of champers, half a punet of strawberries an cream for the ladies.. after eights and bottle of peroni for the gents.. grand a pop and a promise of the drone camera passing them once an hr......

Fight Camp is a horrible name for a annual event that's basically a event in ring in a backyard. Or frontyard not sure what side it's on.

But yea UK boxing could use a big Cinco De Mayo like boxing holiday just give it a better name & let's not expect covid19 to be around forever & plan it for a big arena.
