Eight years in heavyweight standards is not a big deal as is who absorbed more punishment . A.Js knockout of Povetkin would be more of a factor then a number here . Whyte had two wars with Chisora but flush stoppages effect fighters more and that are more recent ,it’s this factor I give Whyte a edge to take this being another big unit with power .

Just checked all the cross belt rankings and Povekkin is top 10 in boxrec, ring etc etc if he's top 10 he's top 10 what you on about which cross belt ranking isn't he top 10 in ??

He's fighting a top 10 guy when he doesn't have to that's impressive wish everyone else would do that.

Povetkin is 41 years old and based on his last fight, clearly washed up. Only residents of the UK are fooled by (Mis)Matchrooms match making tactics

So who should he fight? The top 10 other than Joshua, Fury and Wilder aren't exactly killers. Povetkin is probably the best out of a terrible bunch. He doesn't really have choice until his mando comes to light.
It's sad to say but it's probably the toughest fight he can get right now, nobody else comes to mind...

I'm not complaining about the fight as I don't think much of Whyte or Povetkin at this point. But miss me with the "huge risk" talk when we can all see Povetkin is passed his best

Povetkin is dangerous to Whyte because of his style of fighting. I don't think he can play the long game like Joshua did. Povetkin could crush Whyte's jaw with his hook on the inside as he did Price and many others. So he has a punchers chance no doubt.

With regards to match room hype, I guess that's their job, as for the fan boys, they'll continue to fan boy so best to just ignore them.
