Comments Thread For: Showtime's Espinoza Explored CBS Lot, Vegas Venue Before Securing Mohegan Sun

Mohegan Sun ultimately provided everything Showtime needed in terms of continuity, convenience, and cost effectiveness for the network's upcoming boxing broadcasts. Showtime's Stephen Espinoza explored a CBS sound stage in Studio City, California, and Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas before securing a deal with Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The premium cable channel's first show at Mohegan Sun Arena is schedule for Saturday night, when Philadelphia's Stephen Fulton (18-0, 8 KOs) and Albuquerque's Angelo Leo (19-0, 9 KOs) will square off in a 12-round, 122-pound main event for the vacant WBO junior featherweight title.

I was thinking they would put more emphasis on safety. All I'm hearing is, it's cheaper over here than it is over there.

Showtime making his moves, quickly and swift. Hope they pull this off.

I hope some of the fights don't fall for shortage of venue. Please, Stephen Espinoza, find all the slots for the boxing cards. We are hungry and thirsty for these good fights that we are waiting for, but in a safety healthy manner.

Showtime’s schedule is amazing in comparison to what both top rank and deadzone are putting out. I can’t wait to see the FOX schedule, and the rumor’s of the fights that will be announced make even the showtime fights look inferior. Al Haymon is a genius and good for Espinosa for partnering with Bellator. Reminds me of the Strikeforce days. Mma hasn’t been the same since the days of Strikeforce and Pride. Don’t tell all the little Ufc kiddies th at though, they get cross
