Comments Thread For: Gamboa's Manager Hopes Devin Haney Fight Can Be Finalized

On Yuriorkis Gamboa's part - everything is ready. The ball is in Devin Haney's court to make a deal. Gamboa's manager, Jesse Rodriguez, is hoping that a deal can be reached to challenge the WBC lightweight champion - potentially on September 26 on DAZN.

What's so interesting., Haney fighting an old handicap. way smaller opponent!!! What a joke on the real side, why Gamboa there's plenty of top 15 lightweights that are waiting there turn, who have earned the right to fight for a title! Haney never fought any of the top ten to even be called a CHAMPION!! Calling yourself a CHAMPION is a joke! Zaur don't count that was a joke! Didn't belong in the top ten, the WBC MOVED HIM THERE JUST FOR YOU!!! WBC IS JOKE RIGHT ALONG WITH HANEY!!! FACTS ARE FACTS!!!!

I think Haney is the most talented lightweight prospect(yes i know he has a belt) out there but i don't see any value to this fight. Unless he's trying to one up Tank, which no cares if he does or not.

A much younger and better version of Gamboa fought valiantly before getting knocked out by Terrence Crawford. This version of Gamboa will try to do the same against Devin Haney and get knocked out earlier. Either that or he gets routed on the scorecards

Gamboa still has name value and after Porky Davis struggled to stop him on one leg the fight somewhat makes sense for Haney. It would make a statement stopping him sooner with both of his legs working.

The wbc didn't move him there, Lomachenko ducked him by vacating his battle instead of fighting his mandatory.

Don't blame the wbc for your boy ducking.
