Mesi Wins by TKO in round 2

joe mesi has finally, at long last, scored a TKO, his first since september of 2003.

mesi weighed in at 232 lbs. add that to his TKO victory, hes getting lighter and seems to be getting his stride back.

still, many questions still surround joe mesi.

his victory was a given. a stoppage was not. mesi has had to go the distance in his last four fights, two against horrendous competition.

mesi slimming down five pounds and stopping his opponent finally in the 2nd shows that he might finally be coming back.

Man, I just don't get a good feeling about Mesi fighting again whatsoever.

thats the point. mesi needed a KO to have his comeback be taken seriously.

not only that, ur forgetting that mesi actually lost weight and came in at 232, one of his best and most consistent weights.

if mesi was unable to knock this guy out, that would have been a sure sign that he really REALLY needs to hang em up.

                thats not the case, obviously.

I had that same feeling. By the grace of God Tessier was not a puncher because he had absolutely no problem nailing Mesi with a ton of shots did he?

Between Michigan and Montreal there was a lot of wincing to be seen

This much needed TKO victory is a baby(pun intended )step in the right direction for "Baby" Joe Mesi and hopefully will enable him to gain some confidence in his boxing ability and punching power.

IMO, team Mesi is doing the right thing by taking his comeback nice and slowly and fighting opponents not even Shannon Briggs would fight!
