  • Comments Thread For: George Foreman Wishes Tyson, Jones Well, But Also Sees Danger

Former heavyweight champion George Foreman views the exhibition bout between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. as a "beautiful thing." The eight round exhibition clash was confirmed earlier this week, taking place on September 12 in California. Their bout will be carried on pay-per-view via the Triller app.

PPV boxing event with the aim of not having any ko's? Great fighters in their primes but we don't need to see this. Tyson doing great things on podcast and in business. RJJ has plenty of career opportunities too.

Foreman said Tyson can be a contender today and he’s right on that one . He knows but won’t say it that the danger is going in RJJ direction.

Shut up, George. There is danger whenever men punch each other

As long as the two are respectful of one another than they should both be fine. However, the moment that one or the other feel like the other is trying to show them up or start playing rough then all bets are off.

A real fight may break out. Then they may try to hurt each other. I wouldn't be surprised if a KO ensued. It all begins and ends with Roy Jones. If he tries to get in there and attempts to stiff Mike, then he is going to get hurt.

I was kind of buying into the hype despite my better nature for a while, but after the weekend and seeing an actual good heavyweight fight for the first time in what feels like years I've come back to my senses. Now that boxing seems to be settling into something resembling a normal schedule I feel like there's no need for this sideshow.
