I can't imagine athletes of their caliber, and with the respective persona of each, playing by anyone else's rules.
ALSO, Chavez Sr. and Arce just held two exhibition matches, opposite each other and, in the second particularly, fought as much or more than they exhibited.

They're seriously going to stop the fight if someone gets cut?????!!!! That's so ridiculous... Who is going to want to pay for this now? I was so stoked for this fight too...
If Mike isn't allowed to put any real pressure on Roy, the whole fight is going to look ******ed... What, are we gonna get 8 round of Roy dancing around the ring, popping a few jabs and lead rights/left hooks... Every now and then maybe Mike will do his signature weave and bob to get in and throw a few laughably soft punches, muffled of all power... Roy will cover up on cue...they'll get separated...rinse and repeat...Comment

The referee must not know what he signed on to ,he’s probably going to frustrate Mike and step in one to many times to break the moments up at times ,he’s not going to be able to control Mike he can’t tell him to pull his punches when he’s in the ring on live t.v . HaComment

I’m under the assumption that these two are going to play pitty Pat with each other in the ring while knowing that everybody believe this will be a boxing match.
They will make good money off PPV sales on this event as it will sell especially during pandemic, and they will avoid risky combat.
They both have people in their corners. Those people aren’t going to let them engage in what could be a fatal clash.Comment

This is actually depressing to read. What the hell is this then? A live fake fight? Something like a Rocky movie recording? A WWE event?
It sounds like they're both pre-warned to not hurt each other which is very understandable at their age. The lack of judges? I mean cmon, at least give some reason to watch for a victor at the end. Yet I also understand that aspect. If judges were involved, it would entice them to try harder to win which clearly they aren't aiming for.
They're literally putting two living legends in the ring together to get fanbois excited, yet that's probably as real as it's going to get. Both are going to hold punches and not go 100%
Again, I completely get it, they're old as f**k to be taking any abuse or suffer a brutal KO at their age. No commission or event organizer wants to be responsible for that. I'm just not sure how they're going to market it with the false pretense that they'll engage each other as if they were 20 years old...Comment

Fair enough for them and respect for telling the truth to the casual fans and new ones. Still, I am going to pay to see and support Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr. in their charity cause.
