Trying to cut weight, having some trouble anyone have any advice??

Hey Yall, got a question regarding a weight cut im currently doing for amateurs since fights are a bit away. Background is i have 5 fights at cruiserweight and won 4 of 5. Im 6'1 and was in good shape for the fights but not great shape. I weighed between 195-200 for all 5 but i decided to cut some fat down to 178 w all this free time. I do a full 5 round rope/shadow/bag and sparring routine (sparring 2-3 times a week). I run 6 miles everyday without any trouble and keep calories between 2300 and 2600. At first i was losing weight quickly and one day i woke up at 190 the next i woke up at 194 despite no cheating or anything. Ive pretty much stalled out at 193.5 the past 4 days and dont understand how i havent lost the weight or where it even came from. Anyone have any advice or have anything like this happen?

This should be in the nutrition section, and you should be more specific as to how you cut down to 178. Don’t lift weights. I don’t believe in weight lifting in boxing unless you’re trying to add to be in a higher class which is bad imo since there are naturally bigger men. Optimize yourself for everything except weight lifting. or do routines that require full body force and not specific areas.

Your body has acclimated to the routine. A five round workout isn't much, you should be doing 10 - 12 rounds 4 - 5 days per week at a minimum. When you run, do you maintain the same steady pace the entire time? You should be doing sprints at regular intervals during your run to help get your stamina up and push you harder. Try 300 - 400 yards of jogging, then sprint a 100 yards, repeat. Add some other exercises for strength and conditioning--dips, pull-ups, crunches, push-ups, etc. Your diet is important too. Calories alone don't tell the story, if you are loading up on 2,500 empty calories it's a big difference from 2,500 healthy calories.

6 miles everyday? Seems like a lot.

Are you eating enough food to compensate for food portion of your expended energy?

Sometimes if you work out a lot but don’t eat enough you’re body’s metabolism will come to a halt and you won’t lose weight, especially if you’re lifting weights.

I did that for a year before I realized all I had to do was cut down my weight lifting to start losing weight.

I don't know. It honestly doesn't make much sense to me. Maybe you just outgrew the lightheavyweight division.

Unless you can do even more and eat less, I don't know how much more weight you will be able to lose. Maybe stick to 2300 calories a day instead of 2300-2600 and add a fasting day to your week (a non workout day of course) but I don't know if that will be enough to get you down to the weight you want.

Look up information anywhere but here.

99% of these guys have never boxed or played any sport in their lives.

I would stay at 200 or you will be like Roy Jones when he drop back to 175. At 6'1 you have decent height to fight at 200. Work on your skills rather than weight cut
