The senior circuit is officially headed to the squared circle with a special spectacle when the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history aims to accomplish old-folk accolades. After months of teasing the world with explosive boxing workout videos, the 54-year-old Mike Tyson is taking it one step further and making a comeback into the ring when he fights 51-year-old Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition match Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. E.T.

Tyson's offensive burst will only last about 30 seconds of the first round, but it will be an absolute furious attack.

If Jones can weather those 30 seconds, he wins on points.

Doubt he will be able to weather it though.

Tyson had an exhibition fight back in 2006 also.

Anybody know whether Tyson has paid off all his debt...and if not how much is left?

I'm going out on a limb and saying round 1 wont be that much action but if Jones makes it out of round 2 he has his chance at pulling out the W

Watch Tyson's exhibition "fight" against Corey Sanders in 2006. It will just be light sparring.

"I never took that many punches." Well, there was Buster, Evander, Lennox, Danny Williams all landed LOTS of hard punches. Love you Mike, but you took some punishment

If Mike lands one clean shot, Roy is going to be unconscious. I'm guessing they dance around and do nothing.

“This isn’t a situation where they’re going out there to try to take each other’s heads off,” said Foster, who sanctioned the fight. “They’re just going to be in there moving around the ring and letting fans see these legends.”

“I’m looking to be 100% of Mike Tyson in the ring … I’m a neophyte in taking it easy. I don’t know how to do it that way. I am one speed, forward. I don't know, Roy is just going to have to deal with that.”

lol I guess Tyson gonna do what he wants. Either that or he’s trying to sell the fight already.

I got a feeling the ppv numbers will be surprisingly higher than most of us expect.
