If its dirt cheap I might do it if there isn't anything on TV or any of the streaming services I use. But probably not. It'll be on youtube before long so there is 99.999999% chance I'll watch it that way.
Who is actually going to buy the Tyson - Roy Jones PPV?!

These guys are pimpin what ever juice their names have. Roy should of fought Mike back when he beat Ruiz. I love both fighters and hopefully they get paid enough for the charity and themselves. Mike should of taken the 25mil guarantee .Comment

Right chea.Is there ANYONE that’s actually going to buy this? I know people buy anything these days cause they are easily manipulated but two 50+ year olds going at it in an exhibition? They’ll be knackered after two rounds. With a YouTuber on the undercard. Jesus.
I’m curious as to if this ppv will sell. So who is going to pay for this? And will it bring in the casual fans?
I'm buying it twice: once for myself and once to account for the variance for haters like you.
WAR TYSON!!!!

I don't think you realize we don't care.

Exhibition just means the fight doesn't affect records. It can be a freak show dance show like Floyd vs McGregor and against MMA guys, but rest assured you ask two boxers to fight an exhibition, two competitors who already compete in the same sport and not some boutique crossover situation, and these guys will come to fight.
Bar fights, street fights, gym wars...all of these are LESS than an exhibition and they all get attention. Street fights get tons of views on liveleak, WSHH, YouTube, etc. You're telling me the interest in two trained fighters will be less? Lol.
I can't wait. Few things are more inspiring than guys perceived as over the hill and old, refusing to let time dictate the terms, determined to compete and do what they love doing for as long as physically possible. The fact that people want to tear others down instead of encourage them tells you a lot about the kind of people they are irl.Comment

Casuals who actually have the $$$ to do so because they don't spend most of their day on a Boxing Forum Complaining about any and everything that is going on in boxing
Trust me Mike Tyson is not coming back for "Today's Boxing Fans" he still so popular that he doesn't even need us, he is bringing a Audience that "Use To Watch Boxing" but doesn't keep up with Boxing anymore as well as a lot of Casuals who might know him now more for his Podcast and Cannabis Ranch/Resort
This PPV will do well or without any of you on this forum so all the complaining about "Why PPV?" and all that stuff it really doesn't matter. Then you add Jake Paul to the Undercard that will bring in a younger youtube Audience that again usually doesn't watch boxingLast edited by sicko; 07-23-2020, 06:32 PM.Comment

I’m a huge Jones fan, but that comes from growing up in the 90’s when he was unstoppable in his prime. I had little interest watching him over the last 10-15 years when he was way past his prime and I have even less interest watching him fight somebody in Tyson who is likely far more shot than he is.
I don’t really want to see any fighter fight in his 50’s and certainly not a guy like Roy who was past it 15 years ago, never mind Tyson who was shot to pieces over 20 years ago.
I hate these freak show type fights, I refused to watch May-McGregor, the YouTube ******* etc etc.
FTR, I actually think Jones Jr will probably win, Tyson was so badly shot in his 30’s, so god knows how he’ll look in his 50’s.Comment

You’re right.
TRUE boxing fans don’t pay for boxing events. They stream it illegally. Even if boxing sales decline, they don’t care as long as they didn’t have to pay.
That’s a TRUE boxing fan right there.Comment
