Excellent card for Showtime....but no headlining star to validate $80/$90 Ppv Bill. Crying Charlos r good fighters, but Ppv headliners they r definitely not! R not even popular or celebrated here in H-town.

They have to make this a pay per view event because it's the only way of insuring Jermall Charlo's guarantee which is probably going to be at least around $5 millions dollars or more.

Showtime or Fox can't fit that kind of money into their budget on their licensing fees. Therefore, the PBC would be assuming all of the risks for this card.

They should expect to lose a substantial amount of money on this pay per view due to the current pandemic and also coupled with the fact that neither of the Charlo boys are box office, mainstream crossover stars yet.

The people who usually go to the arena will be buying ng the ppv so it should make good numbers.

I just don't know if the money will be enough to pay the fighters though.

What happened to PBC being on regular TV?

They have deals with both Showtime and Fox. Gotta feed both or you'll lose one. Plus, I believe they would rather test the new waters during covid with Showtime rather than Fox

I wonder how many million they lose on the Charlo card? Just what they had to pay dev to keep him away from canelo will probably eat up all the ppv revenue

Well, if you combine all the purses of the card, you are going to far surpass 10M. Derevyanchenko is making at least 3M,, and the Charlo brothers are in that range, if not more. No way they cover the purses off of PPV revenue. But I doubt SHO is guaranteeing their entire purse. Maybe they use some of their budget or PBC is responsible for the amount that the PPV doesn't cover.
