I see this playing out like the Magdaleno fight but hopefully Donaire proves me wrong would be cool to see him retire as champ.

Bloody pumped with all these fight announcing.

I know Oubaali have good skills and is the more fresher fighter, but I have a feeling the Flash Nonito is going to clip Oubaali in the championship round and winning by TKO/KO, while Donaire is losing close in the card. Oubaali can prove me wrong.

I think Nordine Oubaali is underrated, even if he beats 'this version' of Donaire, Oubaali is still going to be unnoticed as a legitimate proven champion.
Unfortunately this is almost certainly the case. Little guys from minor boxing nations don't get much love, and due to his late start in the pro sport Nordine ain't gonna be able to grow into more divisions and make a name that way. Damn shame... I'm actually rooting for him here, and whilst my gut's telling me Donaire may win, Nordine absolutely deserves recognition if he wins this one.

You are right about age and the lighter weight-class factoring into the lack of support by fans and media for Oubaali and you maybe on the money about Nordine not winning another title at 122 or higher weight divisions -- I never thought about Oubaali becoming a two weight champion.

COVID-19 also hurt Oubaali getting the exposure needed, as the article noted '' The show is tentatively scheduled to air live from a crowdless Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut '' CONNECTICUT.

But, Nordine Oubaalie campaign as champion was off to a good start, having upset Rau'shee Warren for the WBC bantamweight title on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner, then he got the opportunity to defend on the finals of the WBSS 118 tournament.

However, it still feels that Nordine Oubaalie has not arrived. Nonito Donaire may help ; the 'Filipino-Flash' is the biggest name that Oubaalie has ever competed against. Win or loose, If Oubaalie renders a good performance with the Nonito, I think fans will take notice going forward.
