      There is something to be said for playing the long game.

      Valdez just wants a title shot and a nice payday as soon as possible. Which is fine.

      But he's going to get his ass kicked.

      If it were me I'd take 6 months and do several fights on the Mexican circuit. Just to get in a good fighting rhythm, work out all the kinks, and really gel with Eddy Reynoso.

      Go into the Berchelt fight with some momentum and give yourself the best chance to perform at your peak.

        Valdez is going to be 30 this year! He should have made the switch earlier in his career

        I also believe the scott quig fight took alot out of him man....after virgil wins by impress ko who do u have him fighting next?
