  • Comments Thread For: Valdez: I Don't Want Another Fight, I Want Berchelt Next!

By his own admission, Oscar Valdez felt a little out of place fighting without fans in attendance on Tuesday. That said, it's something that the fighting pride of Nogales, Mexico is willing to live with if that's what it takes to line up a mouthwatering showdown versus countryman Miguel Berchelt for his next fight.

Better get a different cutman in his corner also. He won't even see Berchelt throwing after 3 rds.

Valdez can beat Berchelt but he has to fight a perfect fight.

He should take another fight to be honest. He needs more work, from what I saw last night Berchelt won't have much trouble.

Berchelt is a beast at that weight and Valdez remember is going up in weight. I think Valdez should go back to 122 or 126 where he can make an impact. At 130 he's too small and against monsters in this division he will be sent to Wonderland to meet Alice. He is not remotely ready for a Berchelt or even a Mickey Roman which gave a decent one-sided fight against Berchelt. I think that will be the case for when these two face-off but the end result will be the offering of a one-sided punishment exhibition on Valdez by the naturally hard-hitting Berchelt.

What's a perfect fight. Blindfold Berchelt? lol. Berchelt would have to be handcuffed and allow Valdez to hit him. I think even in his most perfect fight he gets KOd against el Alacran.

Valdez won't be able to fight the perfect fight because he will be brought into a war. His only chance is that his power can bail him out. Very difficult but not impossible cause Berchelt has been stopped with one punch in the past, so Berchelt would also have to get careless and get nailed to lose. Can't see Valdez taking the pressure non-stop from Berchelt.
