I give Cruz 10% chance.

Touché.
One way or another though I think Tank really should be looking to make a statement here. Fairly or not the Gamboa fight didn't really do much to improve Tanks standing is most eyes, but a big KO here could help put him back on track.Comment

That's one way to see it. I don't think much about Cruz.Comment

Santa Cruz is a 4 weight division champ and Gamboa’s only held a title in one weight division, how does that make Gamboa a better fighter? Also keep in mind Santa Cruz has never been stopped or KO’d can’t say the same for Gamboa!Comment

Maybe he does not KO him. Maybe Santa Cruz out works him and wins. Santa Cruz throws 100 punches a round. Davis probably averaged about 25 punches a round last fight. Davis probably wins by KO but I don't see it as a sure thing.Comment

Bro, you don't know the definition of that. Fanboys would have hyped Cruz to the moon and back. As Gervonta's biggest fan, I'm doing the opposite.
Imagine if Arum had someone like Santa Cruz for Loma or Valdez. He'd be it. I don't think much of him for Davis. Maybe you are not used to my kind of honesty.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 07-23-2020, 12:04 AM.Comment

Because Gamboa passed the 'eye test'.Comment

Thats because santa cruz hasnt fought anyone good since 2017 (frampton). Hes last fought 3 nobodies and took them a decision since. Gamboa was willing to fight the best and still is. Santa cruz has never attempted to unify ever once in his 38 fights until now cause hes a cherrypicker and a chicken. Gamboa was a olympic gold medalist and a unified champ. Santa cruz is a paper champComment
