Comments Thread For: Jayson Velez: Ryan Garcia Will Show World How Good He Is Against Luke Campbell

Jayson Velez believes in Ryan Garcia. The Puerto Rican veteran is one of only three of Garcia's 20 pro opponents who've gone the distance with the unbeaten lightweight contender. Velez, who lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Garcia in May 2018, has noticed numerous improvements in the 21-year-old Garcia since their fight.

I’m going with Campbell to humble the kid, Luke has everything to gain and everything to lose!

If Ryan can improve his footwork and inside fighting then he’d be the dark horse of the division where he’ll be the underdog against everyone but has a good chance to beat everyone!

Right now those first round KO’s don’t tell us much but that his timing and countering an sense of distance has improved!

I think Luke has a good chance at the upset. I wanna know how Ryan reacts late in a 12 round fight myself. It's all well and good to knock people out but there are some he wont be able to and he will have to show grit if it even exists

It would NOT be an upset if Luke beats Ryan!!!

The other way around would be an upset.

However this fight will tell us what Ryan is made of it if comes off.

                That's my prediction too.
This article reminded me of the Valdez fight tonight.

He's not knocking Campbell out, but he should win a competitive UD, something like 7-5 or 8-4. I expect no knockdowns in the fight, but a number of adjustments.

Well Garcia does have some grit cuz both Velez and Carlos Morales pushed him to his limit and he hung in there especially with Morales who stunned him a couple times!

My thing is I just want to see him get humbled, I believe the kid has heart an grit but how much is the question and also how will he develop as a fighter!
