My brother has suffered from depression his entire life. To think you could or should only have mental illness due to how much money you have or how famous you are is laughable.

Very sorry to hear about your brother. I can tell you that I’ve known some very wealthy people with terrible depression. I’ve always thought that, in some ways, having tons of money makes things even worse. Whatever the case, money sure doesn’t heal the mind.

When you're brought up in a world of social media and striving for popularity an likes by strangers online, us older generation are going to find these kids problems laughable in comparison but it's real stuff to these kids and generation and they need help..

There could be a variety of reasons, however getting help rather than running to social media doesn't solve his anxieties, it just leaves him open to ridicule. That's when my sympathy for this stuff is lost.
