lol. If I was in Vegas I would put my money on Maskaev now. Don't you remember when I made those threads predicting a fighters victory? I think my record is 3 loses and 0 victories. Good luck.Originally posted by pbdsThis is the offical thread for all the Rahman marks to come in here and tell us how he is the man in the division for beating Oleg Maskaev tonight. We can rehash how he "chased" Vitali out of the division and how he would easily beat Wlad now that he has "proved" himself against Maskaev.

There's people on this board that will jump on every single outcome and say ****** ****. The point I was making is that the only reason you were compelled to come out of the Lounger-dome is because that very idea upsets you and your Klitschko cheerleading disposition.Originally posted by pbds......You and I both know that we have people on these boards who will jump on the Rahman band wagon if he beats Oleg.
Who cares if 3 people pipe up with some ****** ****. Those same 3 idiots have already said that about Rahman before this fight is even happening.
I want to see any of the title holders fight one another. Doesn't matter who, as long as something's getting unified. You just kind of illustrated my point when you said you wanna see unfication. You would obviously rather see Rahman/Wlad then right?? I suspect you would actually rather see Wlad/Briggs if the truth be known, because you think he has the better chance of beating Wlad. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Like I said earlier, When Oleg Maskaev, Kevin McBride, Monte Barrett and Shannon Briggs are all getting shots at titles, it's without a doubt the worst point in the Heavyweight division's history.
Unlike you, I'm not motivated by an undying love for one fighter that's the only reason I come here.
I want to see a healthy heavyweight division, which makes the sport healtheir overall.Comment

....Who the hell really knows with this fight? Maybe Maskaev has fixed his defensive lapses. Maybe Rahman is serious finally. I wouldn't bet the house one way or the other. If Rahman wins it will be by KO. If Maskaev wins it could be either a KO or a decision. The Rock will not win the fight by decision.Comment

Really......I bet on him to win by UD although of course either could win by KO Rahman I think stands a better chance at a UD than Maskaev.....hell he was up on all the cards when he got koed by Oleg in '99.Originally posted by pbds....Who the hell really knows with this fight? ...So when Wlad unifies then your gonna be happy for the health of the division?? And your gonna say so as well? Your too much of a pessimist when it comes to the heavies. I think we are getting ready to see a new golden age. The likes of Toney, Rahman, Byrd, Ruiz, etc. etc. are fading into the sunset. New young studs are out there and ready to breath life into the division. I have a funny feeling that the heavies are your first love. Your soon going to get a warm and tingly feeling in a place that hasn't been warm and tingly for a long time. At least not since Lennox beat down Tyson.

Of course it's a possibility that he wins a decision, when he's in shape he's capeable of throwing 20-30 jabs a round, and almost 1000 punches in a fight.
The X factor in this fight is that both guys are limited to an extent, both guys can pucnch, and both are chinny.Comment

It's stuff like this that just goes to show how little you know about boxing, and how you really don't care about the sport or the Heavyweight division, you just care about one fighter.
The division is the worst it's ever been right now by a mile. It's not pessimistic, it's realistic.
Really grey? And who might that be? Feel free to throw out some names.New young studs are out there and ready to breath life into the division.

....Either Rahman tests Maskaev's chin and wins or he ends up getting beat. Maskaev is a better boxer now and he can still punch. I just can't see Rahman outworking Oleg for the full 12. We shall see.Comment
