I am not the guy to defend Canelo, but there's no way in hell that Danny Jacobs fight was close. He beat that dude like he stole something. HE won at least 8 rounds, at least.

Jacobs did absolutely nothing in the first 5 rounds, and got put on his ass. Was down 50-44 and GGG took off round 6, came back and won 7, 9 12. Danny won 4 rounds and if the judges were favorable, he could have gotten 1-2 which were nothing rounds. That’s still 114-113 GGG. No way possible Jacobs could have won that fight without scoring knockdowns. Jacobs was a lot closer to beating Canelo .Comment

Funny thing with the Breadman, I seen Mexican fans say he hates Mexicans, fans of white dudes say hes a Panther and fans of black dudes Uncle Tom him.... In my book that means he's probably doing a pretty damn good job. Far as I'm concerned he's about the most knowlegable and even handed pundit in the sport. Not a lot of white Americans fans of boxing because it’s not ingrained in their culture anymore. Socio economic factors made boxing a minority sport in America with the poorest and least educated people getting involved with it. Breadman does cater towards African Americans in boxing, and his culture bias shows that especially with his love affair with Mayweather & Ward, who is actually more of a white guy than black as his father was 100% Irish. I guess Ward was a needed commodity in the African American boxing culture due to the lack of qualified fighters above 154. No, man, you're giving yourself a little too much credit there. Bottomline, Bread is aware that the Eastern European and Western Europeans dominate boxing today. That means a lot of money that would have gone into the pockets of the black community is now enriching those easterners and that absolutely kills these guys. They can’t handle the swings involved. Lots of crying .Comment
