  • Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Suspended Indefinitely By Nevada And Arizona Commissions

The next fight for Julio Csar Chvez Jr. will remain limited to a courtroom. An ongoing legal battle with the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) leaves the second-generation boxer and former middleweight titlist from Culiacan, Mexico unable to continue with his boxing career until he is able to resolve such matters. Both the NSAC and the Arizona Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Commission have placed Chavez Jr. under indefinite suspension on Friday, stemming from a drug testing incident which ultimately linked the two governing bodies.

      “Evading” is subjective...

Like the Charlo Bros nowhere to be seen when testers came... because they “forgot” to inform...

I think random testing should be linked at the Govt. level, an acknowledgement from at least two people from the fighters team. There should be procedures to resolute (“accidental“) evasion. Ideally, depending on the amounts in an athletes system, you can’t guarantee to rid out of your system from the first missed appearance to the next day. It’s not that easy. Nano traces will always be found. Such methods shouldn’t be disclosed, unless a result is deemed positive. But just giving a fee for a missed test defeats the purpose, and could easily be bribed with money.

Yes, something like that would send q message to promoters, like Hearn, that talk about not condoning drug use in boxing but whose actions prove their duplicity.

Jr. is pathetic! The perfect picture of an "entitled" man who believes that the rules don't apply to him because his father is a boxing legend. What a waste!
