If Floyd were a true champion at 154, he wouldn’t need a weight clause of 152 to fight another titlest in that division.1. Canelo was 23. 2. Canelo actually had only 2 less pro fights than Floyd. 3. Canelo already had wins against former world champions at that time like mosley, cintron and baldomir. Not to mention he just beat world champion trout who had just come off a win vs Cotto.
There are situations of floyd taking advantage of a fighter that wasn't at their best, but Canelo isn't one of them. A 36 yr old should not have the advantage over a 23 yr old in any pro sport. But yes, Canelo is a fraud in his own right. He targets old past prime fighters and or fighters coming off questionable performances. Not to mention his own usage of catch weights, rehydration clauses and short notice for fights.
I get it, Floyd was your last great hope, and you need to justify him in order to salvage any respect your kind have right now in the sport, which is nothing. Canelos only victory over a proven prime fighter was trout, and done thought he lost that fight. He wasn’t ready for Floyd, that was a money fight pure and simple. Floyd needed every advantage because he was a scared man in and out of boxing. Scared people always defend the actions of cowards. Remember that next time you look in the mirror.Comment

you're a clown. I'm not even a Floyd fan, so your "last great hope" comment makes no sense. I rooted against Floyd several times. Bottom line is, Canelo asked for 150. It was his request. Floyd gave him 152, so stop your crying and whimpering over something that Canelo himself requested. If Floyd were a true champion at 154, he wouldn’t need a weight clause of 152 to fight another titlest in that division.

Yes, just like it made a difference when Floyd refused to honor the 144lb catchweight vs Marquez and came in 2lbs heavy. It matters more than anything in boxing. That’s why they’re are weight classes.Comment

Canelo has to ask, because Floyd made it clear HE WOULDNT FIGHT HIM OTHERWISE AT 154, despite holding a belt. Canelo cashed out and addmitted the weight drain killed him. He didn’t want it, but Floyd refused to fight unless he was drained, and was quoted as such. A true coward and fraud of all frauds. Anyone admiring a fighter like that has been raised a coward.you're a clown. I'm not even a Floyd fan, so your "last great hope" comment makes no sense. I rooted against Floyd several times.
