Same with Maidana. Go as far back as round one already Floyd started to fight him back on the inside.
People tend to intentionally overlook the fact that Maidana almost got stopped by Floyd in the first round and decided to clinch and low blow in order to save himself. This would happen two more times where Maidana saved himself from being stopped with the same clinch and low blow move that went unpunished.
Floyd is damn good on the inside, which makes you wonder why he doesn't use the inside game more often.

No way was he going to referee the fight that allowed Hatton to use his rough house tactics that worked so well against Tszyu. I remember the look on Cortez's face when the Brits typically booed the US national anthem and thinking that doesn't bode well.

Him complaining jus screams to me well it looked like in that fight he should've been taught better to fight on the inside. Hatton knew goin in fighters like Floyd would tie up but he jus couldn't get around the tie ups an get in some work so he has no one else to blame but himself. Everyone here in these dam threads kno thats a skill u should learn no matter what the refs or the specific opponent u have in front of u. Fighters like him never really learned how to fight that crisp an beautiful inside game knowing that's there gameplan to be inside since there body type pointed towards that. He had a inside game but not as crisp as sum other top fighters had past or present

Mayweather was not exactly being beaten up on the inside, he was stronger than Hatton.
The referee ruined the fight for both of them.
It was a competitive fight.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 07-17-2020, 12:15 PM.

Cut the nonsense. There's no version of Hatton that would ever have beaten Floyd and unless the referee was allowed to punch Floyd while Hatton was hitting him as well, there's no ref that would've made a difference in the outcome of thag fight.
