Is Fury the first HW to avoid a Rematch because of “depression?”

I mean are there other Heavyweights in history whom relinquished the belts while doing a presser committed to the rematch?

I mean... if you say so... remember he was at a presser weighing 400lbs and claiming that Klitschko got beat by a fatman..

All that energy just hype because he withdrew from the fight.

Was it really depression? Or ealistically, was he adviced that he was not fit to fight like Oscar when he fought PAC? Coke and alcohol can do a number on the body...

He was 2 and a half stone overweight with 12 weeks to prepare at the end of April, he ballooned up in weight before the first fight as well, it's just what he does. That interview he did where he showed his belly was at the end of April, their fight was supposed to be July 12th. His depression was long documented in interviews from years back, these are facts that people can post here if they want to get the videos up here.

Come on Mr. Bidness, You ain't in the Tyson Fury Bidness.

Pretty sure he's the first to vacate and claim depression period. Rematch or no.

There are some early, early guys like Jack Ferns hardly anyone knows **** all about, but, I seriously doubt an 18th century champion would claim depression even if he was a sad ****.

You need to go home and do some research. Depression is a disease of the mind and is real. It's not about being sad. It can be chemical, it can be caused by PTSD, etc. Don't be part of the problem.

Idk, but if Fury vs Klitschko 2 happened, it probably would have been like the second Lewis vs McCall fight.
