Understanding Racism against Travellers/Gypsies in the UK

They were treated like unwanted feral dogs as kids and still as adults, so it explains the chip on their shoulder and on Tyson Fury's shoulder. Glad to see the most hated boxer in the UK become a national hero to so many people, everyone who followed Tyson from years back remembers how he was treated by the media and boxing establishment, it was downright disgusting.

Here's to hoping and praying Fury goes on to achieve a lot more than he already has, it's good to see the man happy again and so loved especially by people who used to hate on him.

Travellers are the only minority that you're allowed to openly spew hate against in the UK.

You can walk into a pub and loudly proclaim that all '*****s' are disgusting, feral dogs and nobody will bat an eyelid.

Now try saying the same kind of stuff about say, a black man or a ******, and see what happens, you'll have the police kicking down your door.

If you have come to encounter some gypsies in the UK then you would never like them. I have encountered them numerous times and they are never good people to be around. But that is my own personal experience, not what i see in the media. Even the police cannot even deal with them, they get no bother by the police, most of them are a law unto themselves.

It’s a world thing, obviously predates our generation for centuries upon centuries before. Gypsies where I’m from are the slummest of the slum and act like ... well.. the best way to describe is look at third world India, where kids are just playing in shet waters, shetting on the streets, just very very third world...well just drop them in a western society. They will still CHOOSE to be excluded. Gypsies are very nomadic and PREFER to live the way they do. They are usually packed in communities exclusive to them. They also promote crime from bad influence. Monkey see monkey do. Look at the way BJS, Fury, Blackwell, like Hillbilly trash whom feel they are entitled to behave they choose while doing ****** things.. BJS even said if he wasn’t boxing he’d be doing crime

There's a stigma regarding the travelling community in the UK and I don't think it's going to change, not anytime soon anyways..

However all travelling communities aren't the same. Everyone got/gets tarred with the same brush.. pretty much like any culture/race/religion..

There's big propaganda towards the communities but it doesn't help that some play up to it and again everyone gets tarred..

You wouldn't even know some are gypsies or from the travelling community unless you're told.. I knew a kid for about 5 years before he told me, hes a decent bloke, however he's told me some stories which didn't seem good hearing but could be just that (stories).

people just associate a bunch of caravans on someone else's land, a path of destruction and everything that's not been bolted down, gets robbed.. couple it with trying to tarmac your drive for £50..

I have been to third world countries, they have nothing but they have morals. They aren't vindictive like some of the gypsies that i have encountered. There is so many examples of their behaviors which is shocking in society (From my personal experience). No one is *picking* on them as some would have you believe.

Man, it's not just the UK. In Ireland here they're despised. And for good reason. They are simply put, extremely dishonest and violent. Any scam that can be pulled they will try, any pain they can inflict they'd be happy to administer. I live up the road from some and they've robbed my house a few times before. I've been mugged a few times by them, sometimes with a knife at my throat. It's not fun. They're one of the few groups of people who've earned their horrible reputation.

Anyone who's never encountered travellers who have a proud culture of being social menaces to those around them shouldn't say anything about them. People from the outside think they're some group who are blindly treated horribly as if it were borne of some racism of sorts but they're the same colour as us. They just lack the morals to be the same as ourselves, they are proud of treating everyone and everything around them like ****. I've encountered very few of them that are decent people that still live as travellers. It's harsh lifestyle that is entirely criminal and brutal in nature. Women have no rights in their culture, inbreeding and child abuse is rife. They're honestly not only backwards, but willingly awful people to those around them. They then play victim and take the dole from the government while not paying taxes on a dime that they earn illegally.
