I wish more boxers were ashamed to compete at an advanced age like most athletes are or better yet the threshold to compete existed at all in combat sports, in fairness the UFC does achieve this decently enough, like other sports have.

You'd asked if Iowa was a racist state and I was using that as an example of the state being fairly progressive, at least during that time period. But that's likely apples and oranges to some. Anyway, Iowa today is probably as racist as any other non southern state. But, my opinion is only that of a Mexican American who's lived here his whole life, and I certainly wouldn't try to speak for anyone else's experience here.
I think this whole chit show is little more than an attempted cash grab, but we'll have to wait and see. It's being advertised fairly heavily on the radio around town.

I think it's just another in a string of misguided attempts to make money around here. The stuff that people around here can be convinced will make them money around here is baffling.
