No I don't blame them, I don't blame their Promoters, I don't think it has nothing to do with "Fans Having To Wait Too Long" I just think Boxing Fans SUCK as a Whole. This sport cannot survive and just the support of Hardcore Boxing Fans because it is not many of us! This sport needs Casuals to do Big Numbers and without the interest of Casuals all Boxing Events will Flop Hard and Promoters and Networks know that which is another reason why these fights don't happen sooner

Spencer Jr vs Crawford is NOT a Mega Fight not even close. Other than AJ vs Fury (which is more of a Mega Fight in the UK than it is in the US), boxing doesn't have any "Mega Fights" on the Horizon. I can't think of many if any fights at the moment that for sure would break 1 Million Buys easy without the Networks Embellishing the numbers which is something this sport a lot because their real numbers are too embarrassing to release them

Neither are Brash, both have Dry Personalities so neither will do much to grab the attention of the Casual Viewer
You hit all the nails. There’s a part of me that wants to see what would happen if there was another real legit fight on the card or in general. I know it would still just excite true fans and not the fringe that everything seems built up to attract. Maybe it would be more of a financial disaster. To be fair they know they have hardcore boxing fans money so they don’t care about us. Half the seats arent filled in huge fights till the main event usually. Wilder v Fury 2 underperformed which makes it hard to predict anything lesser surprising anyone.

This fight seems like it will fall to the side like Lopez-Gamboa

It'd be cool if it did 1M, but I feel like it would come up short & I'd probably have a tough time picking either side of an over/under of ~600k, ~700k.

I feel like neither guy has been moved in a way or had the fights that make this has big as it could be if boxing made some fooking sense. Like Bud should have Manny & maybe a Porter or Danny on his resume. Errol should have Keef & Manny on his resume. I think higher profile 147 W's than either currently have would do wonders for their Q score & how invested the casuals would be. I talk to casuals who don't really know Errol or Bud or barely know of them. That's not a good sign for a 1M+ PPV number.

People forget ESPN is aligned with Top Rank and Fox/CBS with PBC. The promotion for this event would be extraordinary.

            At least 900k
