What did Devry do before the GGG fight That he wanted more than $5mil vs Canelo? He took the GGG fight for a couple hundred less.

Haymon and Dibella trolled knowing GBP wouldn’t go to purse bid, and by fighting GGG for about the same always put them in a good spot.

You are mixing time frames up going back to the past and what happened then and what is happening now in this time of the deadly virus. All boxers are accepting the fact that the must settle for a whole lot less money. Way back when Canelo had a choice to fight Dervy or lose his belt Canelo refused to pay Dervy his 7 million dollar asking price to make the fight and gave up the belt instead. Canelo was getting 35 million a fight so Dervy's asking price of only 205 of what Canelo would make was very reasonable at that time. Canelo also had the option to go to purse bid. He did neither and gave up the belt. Of course Dervy was willing to fight GGG for a bit less because GGG was making 16 million a fight and not the 35 million Canelo was making. Meanwhile in the middle of the virus problem I think Dervy would gladly fight Canelo for 3 million but no offer has been made to him. Canelo should just pay Benavidez 3 million and fight him. It would be his first fight against a young undefeated fighter in many years and beats the hell out of fighting Ryder who has about 7 losses including his last fight.
