They agreed to fight.

Canelo asked if September was possible and GGG said he preferred to honor his contract with Szeremeta before the Canelo fight.

The plan was always for them to have at least one interim fight before going at it again. It’s why Canelo and BJS agreed to terms. Canelo tried to change course late.

Now that September is clearly impossible anyway, Canelo will fight an exhibition fight and GGG will fight Szeremeta. They’ll then fight each other in 2021 at 168.
