If he's not throwing, he better be moving.
He's not going to out-finesse Fury.

That's Fury's whole game in the first place. He likens himself to Ali. He wants to stick and move.

So trying to box with Fury isn't really the best idea. Because that's his game. Fury in the 2nd fight just made it a street fight, to eliminate the "draw" possibility.

I feel that Wilder needs to learn to box. Fury tries to press into him, come off the line to Fury's weak side and hit him with the right hand.

That's basic boxing. If a guy comes in with his head down. Step off the line at an angle, then drop the right hand on their head. Right behind the ear.

That's boxing 101 but with Wilder's power. It's likely to put guys to sleep with just that little bit of boxing knowledge.

A Hail Mary punch is his best option Wilder can practice 1000 years and he will never have the boxing skills to outbox Fury . That’s why Wilder is crying about some bogus glove scandal he’s trying to cry into getting gloves with no padding

He needs to get out of Alabama in the out in nowhere land training facility with the same guys, same sparring partners Mode . He needs to actually surround himself with reputable trainers most of all who will know how to teach and get through to him ,just because someone was a success themselves don’t mean they train very good. All the hillbilly southern guys will ruin it for him again he really needs a reality check and be by intelligent people in Detroit or NY and really dig into him or he has no chance at all. Who knows what they were feeding his brain this entire time it’s almost like he was on another planet the entire time .

              LOL at this thread.

Dude is in his mid 30's, not mid 20's..............

There is no improving anything at his age.

He just just have to work on being more efficient defensively more, and being out of positon less when Fury does triple faints, setting up traps for Tyson and backing Fury up. Using the powerjab would help and coming in better shape would help because he over trained his last fight.

The first thing in my mind is stamina. He has zero ability to handle any kind of pace. The rest won't matter if he's knackered by round 2.

Breland isn't a bad trainer, Deontay don't listen to anyone. He doesn't do roadwork. As soon as I hear anyone declare themselves too good for roadwork, I know defeat isnt far behind.

If I am training Wilder I am telling him the truth. You cannot outbox Fury over the distance. You cannot outwork Fury on the inside. You are not physically stronger than Fury when in the clinch. And most importantly, Fury is more than capable of hurting you if he connects cleanly enough or frequently enough.

Wilder's best option in my mind is to go for broke in the 1st three rounds. Fury more than likely is going to press him again and try to buzzsaw him which will have Wilder fatigued by round 5. No amount of boxing is going to prevent that from happening unless you have an inside game or you knock the person the out.
