  • Comments Thread For: Carlos Takam vs. Jerry Forrest: The Value Of Eyeballs

By Cliff Rold - Thursday night, we get a heavyweight main event born of circumstance. 32-year old Jerry Forrest (26-3, 20 KO) was supposed to face a returning Jarrell Miller. Miller won't be returning after all. Not Thursday (ESPN, 8 PM EST). Not for a while. In steps 39-year old former title challenger Carlos Takam (38-5-1, 28 KO) as the late replacement. While the ESPN...

I’d say Takam gave AJ good work but he wasn’t close to winning that would be the Parker fight in which I think Takam won so that’s fits for Parker .

Other then that this is a good fight but it’s 2020 now ,I’m expected to see Forrest pull off a slight upset since he was actually the one training for the fight not Takam who is the replacement. I think Takam has taking to much batterings , Forrest should just have enough to pull through here but it’s close to a pickem.

I kinda lost interest in whatever Cliff was going to say after those first few sentences when I saw this; if the author can get this part right how can I take any of the subsequent analysis seriously....

That may be but It doesn’t effect the outlined detail of the fight and what’s at stake which was well written. The Who is replacement of who actually isn’t important here . Both guys were actually scheduled for different fights , Takam was supposed to fight Rivas , he could have included that as well if he realized Forrest was not the replacement here either .

Roldy's cool, but this kinda snafu's a fairly common occurance on the 'Scene.

As it happens I got some experience proof reading, and I'm perpetually short of money.... I keep dropping hints, but they ain't taken the bait.... yet.
