No, it WOULD be a shocker, Ruiz Jr is a plodder who cannot move his feet and is an accumulation puncher, Fury is one of the most mobile heavyweights in the sport, yes, theoretically Ruiz Jr COULD win but his odds against a fully fit Fury would be about 1/10

His size, style, athleticism for his size, ability to fight dirty when in trouble, ability to use his massive height and reach as an advantage, and his pseudo wrestling tactics make it very difficult to beat him.

It seems like the less motivated to win he is, the easier it is to beat him. Which is why the McDermott’s and Otto Wallin’s of the world have the best shot at beating him.

As you described but instead of Otto Wallin lets say you have a Tim Witherspoon coming outa nowhere and giving Holmes a boxing lesson or a Red**** Bowe or a Ray Mercer that could bomb you anytime, Fury could be stopped against class HW like mentioned, you could even go back further with Ernie Shavers or Ken Norton, to be honest Fury hasnt beaten anyone Id rate with those guys.

The current HW s are mediocre, just big fighting big the class is not there in my view, somebody gotta win if the comp aint much people only see the win and put it on level footing with true top flight fighters.
