It's coo but the only thing I hate is when 2 guys get in the octagon and throw punches for 5 straight rounds cause all u get is a boxing match with 2 guys that can't box.One of the best fighters in all of MMA is calling out a 21 year old boxer to box him because: "It would be a lot bigger than any purse I did in the UFC.“
LOL.
I guess these guys are just happy to be getting paid to get into bar fights now... as opposed to when they just did it for fun.
MMA is probably the most pathetic “sport” that has ever existed.Comment

I remember one guy who walked into an MMA gym thinking he was going to own the place with fighters fighting and be the man. That fighter was B.Hopkins who retracted his statements when being first hand on to what actually takes place and he didn't want any part of it and openly recited a public apology to his statements they cant fight and warned pro boxers with no outside skills of boxing to stay away from it.Comment

Exactly. It’s a street fight not a sport.
I’m not saying they can’t fight. It just isn’t a sport. They’re getting paid to have a bar fight.
A football player could enter mma and win a title because a football player might make a tackle before getting punched in the face.
Just like in a bar fight.
But a football player wouldn’t have a chance in boxing, or basketball, because they’re both sports and not a fight.

Well, I'm assuming you're talking about Cejudo..so it's pretty wild to call MMA pathetic when the bottom line is..put Cejudo and Garcia in a neutral setting (ie, the street), and Cejudo would probably bodybag Garcia.
There's no shame and nothing pathetic about a grown man being willing to step into someone else's den and fight.Comment

Its definatley a sport, anything using rules and regulations is a sport if its deemed compeitive nature . Its definatley a sport now which limits outside unfair play deemed eye gouges or groin strikes now implemented are no hitting while one hand touches the mat ,no head butts or over elbows when mounting someone, even forced stand ups with refs discrection etc.Exactly. It’s a street fight not a sport.

You dont tackle anyone in a bar unless you like getting hurt by the ones around him or persons you involve to or stabbed potentially causing paralysis with no control whos hovering behind or over you so using football players isnt sane here , takedowns are taught with proper technique in actual training facilities . football players have done well in MMA not so much boxing for these reasons.Last edited by juggernaut666; 07-08-2020, 08:38 PM.Comment
