That has nothing to do with traveling or corona virus in your initial post .

Whyte doesn’t hang out in the streets so I’m not sure that has any merit here either . He needs a solid camp with no guess work and familiar face heading into a fight so close ,switching it up now is very risky.

Everyone ready to bet on Povetkin needs to calm down.

He’s done. He’s looked like trash in all his recent fights.

It’s also worth noting Matchroom, who needs American fighters and American heavyweights, dropped Michael Hunter after fighting to a draw with Povetkin. That means they fed Povetkin to Hunter, expected him to dominate and he didn’t. So they know Hunter sucks now and the they’re going to feed Povetkin to Whyte.

This sounds like a necessary move but my question is why now and why this late? This sounds like something that should have been dealt with a lot sooner.

Whyte has been training in Portugal since February and Tibbs has been in the UK.

I'm sure it's been in the works for a while. I hope Whyte knows what he's doing to get through this fight.

Right but my question is, has Whyte had a back up plan since February and is just now going public with it? Like you, I hope he knows what he is doing because we have seen this before recently with Kovalev.

I see Whyte winning an ugly decision. I think Povetkin only has 4-6 rounds in him. I’d love to see Whyte get iced though so I hope you’re right.

Well he did drive and took his pets so it wasn’t for a scenic leisure trip, it was to go train . It is his coach then who decides if he wants to go there which is a mere 2 hour plane ride . Either or the place Whyte resides at is not some distant country far away that driving is not unreasonable.
