    interesting

so after jacobs beat chenko...golovkin decides to fight chenko for the vacant ibf title rather than make a fight with andrade for the wbo strap.......knowing he can beat danny and danny handled chenko....rather than going after the speedy lefthander that is holding the strap....golovkin dont like them A/B level lefties.....like lara and andrade....he likes them willie monroe level

GGG is 38 and yes, he's ducking The Charlos & Andrade.

It's rare somebody like Manny will be 40 years old still striving to be great

Guys who are 28 should be fighting the best comp at their weight.

And I remember when people were saying GGG was ducking Derevyechenko because he chose to fight Martirosyan when Canelo got suspended. Then he fought Derevyechenko and beat him (barely, if that), and the same people claimed Derevyechenko was a nobody.

I say go for the money right now and take GB offer.
There is no money from Dazn right now.

if you aint striving to be great at any age you shouldnt be there....friggin manny is 41 fighting thurman....hopkins was damn near 50 fighting the killer that was kovalev....even old ass, faded, roy was like "hell yeah ill fight calzaghe"....

he only fought chenko because canelo told him to go get a belt if he wanted another fight...and instead of going after andrade, who was on DAZN and represented by hearn, he chose the guy who was beaten by a guy he had already beaten....

Would love to see Charlo in that kind of matchup so fans know what we've got in Jermall. I don't know if he knows he's got it either, he is very wound up all the time. Maybe there is a lion in there but how can I know - this is a good fight for that.

And for Sergey, I think he brings a lot of what Charlo struggles with a against a smaller guy who can come in low and is more fluid, compact, quicker inside - the scoring opportunities should be there for Sergei. The way he can hover around with his footwork against the stiffer Charlo could create a nice visual for him. I agree with some others that a knockdown for Jermall could be the difference. Down to the wire I think

Obviously Derervyanchenko was a better option than Vanes.

But there were better options than Derevyanchenko when Golovkin picked him to fight.

I kind of agree with you, but like I said Manny & Hopkins are the exception, not the rule. They're ATGs for a reason.

I can understand a guy in his mid to late 30s on up just trying to get a few easy paydays, because boxing's such a brutal sport where guys get robbed regularly.

Now, guys in their primes should be fighting the best.

thats exactly why golovkin isnt even close to an ATG no matter how MWs he knocked out or how many straight wins he reeled off....i could understand taking easy paydays later if you had accomplished something amazing and beaten some really good fighters....golovkin is 38 and his signature win is jacobs or chenko......thats a guy that should be aiming to prove something....not fighting a guy that went the distance with a 12-9-1 guy last year

I never said GGG was an ATG.

There's only 1 for my money still fighting and that's Manny.
