I like both guys, but Inoue just has more offensive power.

Do sire is a great fighter and isn’t afraid to risk getting stopped, he fights to win!

I've gotta admit that I didn't think Donaire would as live as he was, I thought he basically charmed his way through the previous brackets with some insane luck. I'm still not sure if he would've beaten Ryan Burnett normally without the injury Burnett suffered and in the leadup to the fight against Tete that never took place I was convinced that Tete would probably knock him out (not so sure about that in retrospect though.) It's just so rare for fighters to go up in weight, get beat, then come back down and be successful again, especially in the twilight of their careers. I thought him losing to Frampton would've been his last hurrah. I wonder how different things might have been if he'd stayed at Bantam the whole time.

for sure. donaire fighting 1-2 wgt class above is a huge difference. its obvious he's got a massive size advantage at bantam. a young donaire was quick but also reckless, and now, the timing and exp is better.

was really lookin fwd to the oubali fight, hope that still happens.

Every great fighter has one last great fight. This may have been donaires. I'd love a rematch.

yeah look at my OG post I literally said the same damn thing Inoue like tosses ND to the ground and then bows as if to say sorry mentor big brother LOL WTF???

That told me he won't go for the KO and won't punish ND and that this fight will go the full 12!

I actually thought the same thing too he looked horrible against Frampton and Frampton went to hell and back in close fights with LSC right????

Donaire broke Inoue's face early on and at 118 he has always been a problem. It was only when Donaire kept going up in weight was when he started to struggle some. Inoue didn't have a perfect performance by any means, but you are not going to blow everyone out of the water at this level. I still thought he won 8-4. Inoue stopped quality fighters in Rodriguez, Payano, McDonnell and Narvaez in under two rounds which is pretty damn crazy. I wouldn't let one not so great performance where he had to deal with a broken face for majority of the fight sway your opinion on him. Dude is the truth and has a case as being the best fighter in the world.

Sit back and enjoy the show, dude is going to give us some memorable fights before he retires.

Cept it wasnt luck. The injury was a donaire body shot. You could literally see at the end of the penultimate round donaire landing one of the biggest body punches right to the very spot burnett grabs in pain the next round. After the body shot Burnett then goes to his corner and says hes done. He then comes out next round ans grabs the spot donaire hit and collapses.

That was a punch that devastated him. It wasn't just a freak injury. Donaire kod him and it takes away from donaire by believing some concocted story about a freak injury that suddenly happened to his body where donaire just punched him.

Burnett even says in iinterviews he had no injuries before the fight and the injury happened at the end of the penultimate round which just confirms when it happened, and we know how cause we can wstch the footage.

Huge punch to the body at the exact moment he himself says the injury happened. Hes just not putting 2 and 2 together or hes intentionally trying to save his ego by psssing it off as a freak injury. Either way he was ko'd.

and donaire was a beast at 118. He ko'd the #1 ranked fighter there, the #3 ranked fighter, and another #3 ranked fighter going into the donaire fight, then ko'd the #2 ranked fighter after the inoue fight. He clearly was a different fighter at 118 and below and he clearly wasn't old or shot as his success showed. Koing the 2nd and 3rd best and giving the 1st a tough fight. Shot to pieces

Donaire is an active ATG. Let it have been the Donaire who sent Darchinyan to the shadow realm and its a different more competative fight all together. Classic torch passing moment
