Re-Watched Inoue vs Donaire and scored it this time.
Was fan of both these guys cuz I prefer action fighters with KO power and who go for the KO. Currently huge fan of Inoue since no one else in the sport is steamrolling through opponents and collecting belts like him. He probably my fav fighter right now!
Round 1 Inoue (feeling out round I landed cleaner)
Round 2 Donaire pressing forward more busy
Round 3 Donaire same as round two
Round 4 Inoue starting to find his rhythm/timing
Round 5 Inoue looked like he could have got the stoppage at the end but let Donaire off for some reason?
Round 6 Inoue out boxing and landing cleaner
Round 7 some more of round 6 plus Inoue tosses Donaire to the ground and then bows to him out of respect saying sorry? WTF?
Round 8 Gave to Donaire busier and landed more.
Round 9 Best round for Donaire landed his best punch and had Inoue holding on and just running.
Round 10 Inoue got his legs back and outboxed.
Round 11 Inoue scores the knock down with body shot. Ref takes extra time to even begin his count. Ref counts all the way to 10 and still lets Donaire continue? WTF? Also Inoue actually is about to throw his hands up in victory when ref hits 10 count and is kind of like ok guess the fights going on?
Round 12 Inoue, Donaire is still hurt by the body shot from previous round and is in survival mode. Inoue probably could have really went for the KO here but did not?
Final score for me was 116 to 110 Inoue.
The bigger question is why did Inoue struggle so much with Donaire?
I mean much respect to Donaire in his prime he was a beast but this version of Donaire was way past it.
Was Donaire just way too big for Inoue?
Did Inoue just respect Donaire too much and didnt wanna hurt him or something?
Did Inoue overtrain? I heard some fans say Inoue overtrained since they kept rescheduling this fight it got pushed back like 3 times right? Inoue started came like crazy early?
Anyways fam I like Inoue and I think we need a new star who's exciting and who's all action who knocks out everyone like my man Iron Mike in his prime.
I thought Inoue might be that dude to get everyone excited but this fight still dont sit right with me for some reason?
Thoughts?
