GGG is a good fighter but not great. He had the ability to be great but consistently fought weak opposition and in his best fights he went 2-1-1 or 2-2 (split with Canelo or a draw in 2nd fight, win over Jacobs, lost to SD). When your boxing career is over and your claim to fame is 2-1-1 or 2-2...its pretty bad.

Cotto had the better career seeing how he had success across 4 weight divisions and he actually made the great fights. He accepted CWs, rehydration clauses, etc. Cotto was a true bada$$
