She used the money to train. The fight then got postponed several times through no fault of her own.

She obviously continued to train on her own dime once Hearn's middling sum ran out.

Then he tried to make her take a paycut and blocked her from being on a Telemundo reality show.

When you total it all up he probably owes HER money.

Having spent the money, shouldn't she be more determined to go through with the fight and get paid?

I mean once her July 4th date got postponed she decided to go another route with the Telemundo reality show to make some money. She was tired of the fight being postponed and didn't think it would take place until end of the year. Is she really at fault here? Things have changed to the point of the fight taking place at Matchroom's backyard. Do I want the fight to happen? Absolutely, but not sure if Hearn is right here in wanting the training expenses back to two camps that have at least partly taken place before the fight was pushed back yet again.

She went behind Hearns back and used his expenses knowingly playing dumb as if she wouldn’t know about current commitments and if that wasn’t bad enough then cancel on him knowing she’s under contract to any changes in dates or venues then makes it about money when confronted so it’s beyond what she owes him . Hearns a lot nicer then i would be as a business man I would be cutting people out of the loop much faster who cause problems ,the fact he still does business with Dibella is astonishing in itself with all the lies he said in the past of Hearn and his promotion.

If you want to argue she should still fight Taylor regardless of how many times the fight is postponed, then that's fine. I won't argue that point, your opinion. Cool, but the question at hand was if wanting the $10k he paid in March was fair or foul considering it was no fault of Serrano that she trained twice for a fight that got postponed.

It sucks for her, but it's actually quite simple. Matchroom paid Serrano money in advance to fight Katie Taylor.

She basically has two choices now. One choice would be to go ahead with the fight against Taylor. In that scenario, she doesn't have to pay anything back, and she also gets the rest of her full purse. The second choice would be to pay Matchroom back, and take part in the Reality TV show instead.

Is it fair, maybe not. Is it right, yes.

I already said the money she received to May from now ,meaning the money was giving to her when the fight was agreed would have no bearing of now ,if anything Hearn lost money giving it to her training expenses and having to reschedule,however if She is backing out of her fight that money that was towards the Taylor fight should be returned .

The end reasoning for not taking the fight was money ,this was already disproved ,you guys are making it as though this is months spread apart when the reality is a May to August date is merely months apart .

Maybe you just don’t understand the money forwarded to her was binding to the Taylor fight which isn’t exactly hard to see why she is in the wrong,I guess for some ?

You would think common sense would prevail..

I understand Eddie asking for it back and I'm sure she would pay it back if/when the fight goes ahead.

Now if the fights not going ahead then he's in every right to ask. Although he wastes 10k having then knashers polished...
