Comments Thread For: Taylor-Serrano: Hearn Seeks Repayment Of Training Expenses, Serrano Responds

So looks like Hearn is requesting to get paid back the $10,000 he fronted Serrano back in March when the fight was originally signed for May.

Eddie Hearn is not only prepared to move on from a potential blockbuster showdown between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, but now seeks to collect back the money he's already invested into such a clash.

Should Hearn be able to ask for the training expenses money back when they fight has been postponed twice already and Serrano has used a lot of that money for the previous camps? This is a pretty f'd up situation all around and it doesn't look like the fight will happen, nor will Serrano be able to participate in that reality show on Telemundo.

The only way she should have to pay it back is if the fight doesnt happen because of her. If it's due to anything beyond her control then no. She shouldn't have to.

If she doesn't want to pay the money back, she could always take the simple step of going through with the fight.

If he gave her the money for training costs for a fight that she no longer wants then yes, she should pay him back. If she doesn't take the fight and doesn't pay him back it shows a lack of character on her part.

Damn, Matchroom and Eddie Hearn must be really hard up for cash. This pandemic must have cost them $Millions of dollars in lost revenue.

But the fight has been postponed TWICE already. She used that money for her training expenses when she first thought the fight would take place in May and then later July.

She used the money to train. The fight then got postponed several times through no fault of her own.

She obviously continued to train on her own dime once Hearn's middling sum ran out.

Then he tried to make her take a paycut and blocked her from being on a Telemundo reality show.

When you total it all up he probably owes HER money.

Having spent the money, shouldn't she be more determined to go through with the fight and get paid?
